At Atlas Chiropractic, we believe that no two patients are alike. So, we must get to know you to determine the best way we can help you reach your goals.
I’ve scheduled my first visit, now what?
Before your first visit to the office, we ask that you fill out the appropriate New Patient paperwork below. You can either:
- Fill it out directly on your computer and email it back to us at info@atlashealth.ca
- Print it, fill it out, and bring it with you to your first appointment.
- Prefer pen and paper? Please arrive 10 minutes before your first scheduled appointment, and you can fill out the forms in the office.
Day 1 – Your First Visit
Welcome to the office! Your first visit will allow us to officially meet and connect. We want to make sure you feel as comfortable in our space as we do, so we will take a few minutes to show you around. Next, one of our chiropractors will begin your initial assessment. This starts with a thorough health history based on all the information obtained from your intake forms. The more you can tell us about you, the better we will be able to serve you. After learning your reasons for why you’re seeking care at Atlas Chiropractic, we will set your health goals.
Following this, we will perform a detailed physical assessment. This will involve orthopedic and neurological testing, assessing your range-of-motion, and identifying areas of imbalance and asymmetry. We look to see how your body is adapting and reacting to the stress it is under.
Once the history and physical assessment are completed, we will leave time to answer any questions you may have.
Your first visit will take approximately 30-45 minutes.
***Hey, Parents! If you are bringing in your children and have any questions about our space, childcare, or have any situational concerns, please let us know how we can best serve you. Phone consultations and split appointments are just some of the accommodations we are happy to provide.
Day 2 – Your Second Visit
By the time we see you for your second visit, your chiropractor will have analyzed your case and determined if they can help! They will explain all the problems identified from your first visit and explain how chiropractic can help your case. If chiropractic care is right for you, your chiropractor will put together a personalized care plan based on the following:
- The problems identified
- The severity of damage and how long it’s been there
- Your goals and reasons for seeking care
After all your concerns have been raised, and questions answered, we will give you for first chiropractic adjustment!
Your second visit will take approximately 30 minutes.
Regular Visits
Once we’ve laid the groundwork, we can get into a routine of regular visits. Our chiropractors will always ask for a progress update and assess how your body is presenting on that day. They will adjust areas of dysfunction and interference, and likely give you some homework, which will help to maintain the adjustment and reach your goals. Similar to workouts at the gym, each adjustment builds on the one before. When you miss an adjustment, you risk losing the momentum necessary to achieve results.
Regular visits take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Wellness Visits
Most people love the way they feel and function while under chiropractic care. Once your problems have been corrected, you likely want to keep them from coming back. Most patients we see want to maintain the improvements from their care, as well as prevent future injury; so they choose to see us for regular wellness care. Similar to regular dental check-ups, periodic chiropractic wellness visits keep you on top of any problems that may occur while living life.
If your goal is to feel better for life, then wellness care is most likely for you. We will work together to develop a wellness plan that best suits your needs.
Wellness visits take approximately 10-15 minutes.
